Do Process Exchanges Really Work?
Jim Sinur at the Gartner Blog network is stating two contradictory opinions to stimulate debate on Process exchanges (i.e. two BPMS vendors sharing their processes). One view is that this is a good thing becaue it prevents reinventing the wheel, the other view is that this will never happen because nobody will give away anything for free.
Personally I think this will lead to the horror of 'best practice'. For those who don't know what I mean, you need to buy my book "The Perfect Process Project' to find out. In a nutshell, though, "Best Practice" is actually "most common practice" and not necessarily the best.
